Recently, we communicated that three California Counties – Glenn, Orange, and San Luis Obispo – removed date of birth from records available on their court’s website and their Public Access Terminals. The removal of this information from public records is expected to increase delays for criminal and civil searches requiring additional research. Del Norte County now joins the list of California counties that have removed the date of birth from the records available on their court’s website and the Public Access Terminals, reducing the identifiers available to match records to individuals. As a result of this change, delays are now anticipated for Del Norte County criminal and civil searches that require additional research.
