Effective Friday, November 15, 2024, employees at Canada Post began a labour strike. Please note the following important information regarding potential disruption to Sterling services:
- Canadian Criminal Record Check – Digital Proof of Identity only
While we expect most Canada Post outlets to be operating normally, some may be closed or only provide limited services. This may impact Canada Post Digital Proof of Identity, which can be used to verify a candidate’s identity before the Canadian Criminal Record Check can be processed.
We strongly advise candidates to contact the Canada Post location to confirm that the location will be able to complete the transaction before attempting to have their identity verified in person. - Police Certificates
Copies of Police Certificates may be delayed if you do not currently use a courier delivery option. If required, you may provide us with your courier details to have police certificates sent via courier instead of waiting for the postal service to resume. - Driver Abstracts (Quebec only) and Fingerprinting
Results for Driver Abstracts in Quebec and Fingerprinting may be delayed due to the disruption in the postal service.
