On Wednesday, May 1, 2024, the Department of Justice (DOJ) National Sex Offender public website (NSOPW) became unavailable due to a data source outage. To minimize impact duration, Sterling secured an alternate method of automated fulfillment on Sunday, May 5, 2024 for impacted DOJ NSOPW searches by directly connecting to California and Delaware Sex Offender Registries.

As of Monday, May 13, 2024, please note the following updates:

  • After having a significant backlog of automated DOJ NSOPW searches last week, we returned to business as usual on Monday, May 13, 2024.
  • Pending DOJ NSOPW requests requiring additional manual fulfillment steps continue to experience processing delays but we expect to return to business as usual by Monday, May 20, 2024.

We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates as they become available. Thank you for your patience.
