Recently, two California Counties – San Luis Obispo and Orange – removed date of birth from records available on their court’s website and their Public Access Terminals, reducing the identifiers available to match records to individuals. San Luis Obispo redacted date of birth on Friday, June 21, 2024 and Orange County took the same action on Monday, July 1, 2024. These changes are impacting all Consumer Reporting Agencies (CRAs). We are actively reviewing our options for matching records in both jurisdictions. In the meantime, as a result of this change, we anticipate delays for searches requiring additional research in San Luis Obispo and Orange Counties.
