Based on the assessment to date, the following Sterling impact is described below:

- Order impact: If your order failed to submit during the outage, please resubmit for processing.
Sterling continues to assess impact across our background screening and identity services and we’re taking action to mitigate any impact with urgency. We will share updates as they become available.

As the world emerges from the crisis, Sterling’s mission of providing a foundation of trust and safety has never wavered. We are also committed to fulfilling orders that were temporarily impacted by the COVID-19 closures that we have faced across the globe.
For any criminal searches or verification requests that were temporarily were unperformable due to closures during the pandemic, Sterling has introduced a seamless, agile approach to reopen and resubmit impacted ‘unperformable’ searches.
Starting May 14, 2020 – and as courts gradually open – you can request a report of impacted, qualified searches that are available to be reopened through your Sterling Client Success representative. Please note that we are currently experiencing most U.S. education and employment verification entities opening at a slower pace than courts, but we are closely monitoring the situation.
