The increase in fee for driver record searches in Wyoming of $10.00 did not take effect on Thursday, July 1, 2021. The state has delayed the fee increase at least 45 days. Once we receive additional details from the state, we will confirm the new effective date.

On Thursday, June 30 at 4:30 p.m. ET, the Michigan Supreme Court issued an order that delays the implementation of their rule which would make dates of birth (DOB) unavailable. The implementation date has been changed from July 1, 2021 to January 1, 2022. As a result, Sterling will continue to fulfill Michigan search orders without delay through the end of the year. As of Friday, June 25, 2021, Cobb, Georgia county criminal searches are unavailable due to an online source issue, and they are working to determine a date of restoration. We will communicate updates as they become available. Thank you for your patience.
On Thursday, June 24, 2021, Sterling started experiencing turnaround time delays for some California county criminal search requests. Impacted California counties include Fresno, Kern, King, Riverside, Santa Clara, Tulare, Ventura and Yuba. As a result, turnaround times are expected to be delayed at least 48 hours. Effective Thursday, July 1, 2021, Michigan will implement new court rules that will remove date of birth (DOB) from court records. Sterling will continue to fulfill searches for all counties in Michigan, but without the DOB to use as an identifier there will be an impact on turnaround time and hit rates and possibly other changes as this rule is rolled out.
