As a result, criminal searches, drug and health testing and verifications with external dependencies are expected to be delayed 24 to 48 hours. We also recommend candidates and employees scheduled for drug and health services call their chosen clinic or laboratory to verify hours of operation.

Starting Thursday, August 22, 2024, Sterling is experiencing online access issues in multiple US counties. As a result, delays for criminal and civil records in the following jurisdictions may be expected:
- California: Alameda, Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz
- Georgia: Fulton, Gwinnett
- Illinois: Kane
- Kansas: All county jurisdictions, except Johnson County
- Tennessee: Shelby
We have secured alternate fulfillment options for these jurisdictions until online access is restored. Turnaround times via alternate fulfillment methods will be delayed and will vary by jurisdiction. We are actively working to resolve the issue to resume online fulfillment as quickly as possible and will provide updates as they become available. Thank you for your patience.

As of Friday morning, 8/23/24, we have resolved the performance issues that were causing the SterlingONE service interruption. All services are now working as expected and we will continue to monitor this issue accordingly. Clients should reach out to Sterling via normal support channels with any new issues or technical support needs.

This issue affecting SterlingOne was resolved at 12:38 PM ET. Service is restored and performance is restored back to normal.

Starting at 7:30 AM ET on August 21, 2024 we identified an issue with SterlingONE’s automated Candidate export process. This issue might cause limited clients setup for automated candidate export to not receive their exports via SFTP. This may also result in slowness experienced with page loading for Sterling I-9, Onboarding and screening users. Sterling engineering teams are currently working to resolve this issue and will post an update once resolved.

Our drug and health services provider, eScreen, has notified us they will be performing scheduled system maintenance from 9 p.m. ET Friday, August 23rd to 9 p.m. ET Sunday, August 25, 2024. As a result, we are anticipating possible intermittent service outages that may impact site search availability and registrations during this time as well as potentially delay results for eScreen services during the maintenance window. If a registration is unsuccessful, it will be resubmitted when the system is back online. We will be monitoring eScreen orders during the scheduled maintenance, and will provide updates as they become available. Thank you for your patience.
