As an update, the Social Security Administration (SSA) will be conducting upcoming system maintenance on its Consent Based Social Security Number Verification (CBSV) service for approximately two weeks now starting 9 p.m. ET on Thursday, December 12, 2024 until Monday, December 30, 2024 at 6:00 a.m. ET.
Previously, the SSA had informed us they would be starting the maintenance at 9 p.m. ET on Friday, December 13, 2024.
CBSV records will be unavailable during the maintenance period. As a result, CBSV requests placed during this timeframe will be delayed until the system is restored. We will be monitoring the SSA progress so that we can reinstate fulfillment as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for your patience.

Starting Thursday, November 21, 2024, the Department of Justice (DOJ) National Sex Offender Public Website (NSOPW) is experiencing intermittent state-source outages that are impacting record access. As a result, NSOPW sex offender searches have been delayed.
With current online source access, we anticipate we will clear the search backlog by start of business, Tuesday, November 26, 2024. We are monitoring the situation and will provide updates as they become available. Thank you for your patience.

The Social Security Administration (SSA) is conducting upcoming system maintenance on its Consent Based Social Security Number Verification (CBSV) service. Previously, we had reported that starting Monday, November 4, 2024, Washington county and state criminal and civil records were unavailable due to a technical issue with their information system.
