Quest drug registration now available, services delays anticipated as systems are restored

Drug service registration for Quest Diagnostics clinic locations is now restored.  Previously, we had reported that beginning approximately 12:30 a.m. ET on Friday, July 19, 2024, a global information outage caused Quest Diagnostics to be intermittently available. As a result, Sterling temporarily disabled drug registrations for this service partner. At this time, you can successfully register services with Quest Diagnostics using your standard process.

While the drug registration issue has been resolved, we anticipate continued screening service delays and reduced capacity for provider support as systems are restored. These delays may include:

  • Patient Services Center Customer Contact teams operating with reduced capacity with candidates experiencing longer wait times and service times.
  • Extended drug and health specimen and supply transit times due to flight logistics issues
  • Extended fulfillment turnaround times for criminal and verification services performed at sources impacted by system outages.

We are continuing to monitor the situation and will provide additional updates if necessary. Thank you for your patience. We appreciate your ongoing partnership.

Sterling fulfillment update for Del Norte County, California

Recently, we communicated that three California Counties – Glenn, Orange, and San Luis Obispo – removed date of birth from records available on their court’s website and their Public Access Terminals. The removal of this information from public records is expected to increase delays for criminal and civil searches requiring additional research. Del Norte County now joins the list of California counties that have removed the date of birth from the records available on their court’s website and the Public Access Terminals, reducing the identifiers available to match records to individuals. As a result of this change, delays are now anticipated for Del Norte County criminal and civil searches that require additional research. This change is impacting all Consumer Reporting Agencies (CRAs). We are closely monitoring the situation, and will provide updates as they become available. Thank you for your patience. We appreciate your partnership.
